Having established the original building was much larger – the left hand wing and part of the central portion were destroyed by fire in the 20th century – planning permission was gained to extend the property to its original profile.

The timber framed 14/15th century Grade II Listed farm building had been substantially altered over the years. It had suffered from serious structural degradation and non permitted alterations such as UPVC windows.

A sympathetic restoration was required, and the opportunity was used to reconfigure the interior space to accommodate the requirements of a modern family.
