The plot previously had three lock-up garages on and was located at the end of a no through road, adjacent to the Southwest Trains fast line.
Typical of many residential roads in the area, cars were parked the full length of the street and on both sides making access tricky.
Particular attention was paid to the groundworks because of the 3m proximity to the railway line. Other considerations were any drainage issues that might arise from the railway and the impact of our excavations.
Halo Architects designed a traditional looking house in a style and colour to compliment the existing street scene. Inside, the interior specification was to a high standard with many specialist finishes.
The open plan kitchen and living area in a light and airy space with full width and height sliding doors onto a patio and lawned area.
Installing permeable paving to the front made best use of the space creating much-needed off street parking.
