Buildwise were appointed to carry out the sensitive conversion of the Grade II listed building into a large double-fronted shop unit with accommodation above. The building required structual repairs and a new roof. The complexity of the roof structure required specialist oak repairs. Our craftsmen used exacting methods for the lead and tile detailing to ensure a seamless apperance with surrounding buildings. Our professional team are used to the stringent requirements of local Conservation officers. As with any busy high street, access is limited and the site was constrained. Buildwise always strive to maintain good relations with neighbours and the public in these situations. The project was delivered on time and on budget, and with the praise of the Local Authority.
