The owners of a large late Victorian cottage set within substantial grounds wanted to reconfiguration part of the interior to make best use of the space. An existing dilapidated timber framed garage was also to be replaced with a new oak-framed ancillary building.
Part of the mezzanine that made up the double-height dining hall was claimed at first-floor level to add to the bedroom and bathroom accommodation.
The ancillary building was designed to also add to the general accommodation, with a self-contained open-plan flat above the garaging.
With oak-framed new builds, Buildwise works in collaboration with Oakwrights, the multi-award winning company who specializes in the design and construction of all styles of oak framed houses.
