Client: Inspired Asset Management
Location: Clapham, South London
Project Value: £3.3 m
Timescale: 48 weeks
Set within a desirable conservation area close to Clapham Common, the 1930s property sits in a prominent position within a generous plot with a large lawn to the front and with many mature trees.
Originally the headquarters of the Union of Construction, Allied Trades and Technicians, after several mergers the union was dissolved in 2017 and the building vacated.
Consisting of three storeys with a small basement plant room and garaging to the rear of the building, the contemporary design specification of the gated development will be attractive to the target market of young professionals and city workers.
Work is underway and our team has stripped out all the interior fixtures and fittings, and made the necessary structural alterations internally and externally.
The sensitive conversion will enhance and enrich the building, whilst making it suitable for residential use. Materials are of a high quality and will reference traditional design suited to the existing building with contemporary additions.
The scheme is on track for the 48 week programme.
